Shirley Hambelton

Shirley Hambelton is a managing director and senior counsel with Benefit Street Partners, based in our New York office. Prior to joining BSP in 2019, Ms. Hambelton was an associate in the asset management group at Ropes & Gray LLP where she advised private equity, credit and hedge funds managers on a variety of fund formation and regulatory matters. Ms. Hambelton received a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University.
