Olof Akesson

Managing Director

Olof Akesson is a managing director with Benefit Street Partners, based in our New York office. Prior to joining BSP in 2024, Mr. Akesson was a managing director responsible for working with institutional and family office investors across the U.S. and Asia at private real estate investment managers. Previously, Mr. Akesson was Chief Operating Officer at Asia Institutional & Wealth Sales at HSBC. Prior to joining HSBC, Mr. Akesson worked at J.P. Morgan in structured derivatives, and in the investment banking group at Citigroup, focused on real estate mergers and acquisitions. Olof received a Master of Science in Finance and Internatinal Business from Stockholm School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of South Carolina.
