Nicholas Johnston

Managing Director

Nicholas Johnston is a managing director with Benefit Street Partners and is based in California.  Prior to joining BSP in 2023, Mr. Johnston was an Institutional Director for Lord, Abbett & Co. where he was responsible for working with institutional investors across the Western U.S. During his time at Lord, Abbett & Co., Mr. Johnston also worked as a Retirement Sales Director.  Previously, Mr. Johnston worked in the retirement plan group at ING U.S. He also worked at American Home Equity Corporation and Pacific Life. Mr. Johnston received a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Claremont McKenna College.
