Lain Gutierrez

Managing Director

Lain Gutierrez is a Managing Director with Benefit Street Partners focused on commercial PACE and is based in our NY office.  Prior to joining BSP in 2023, Mr. Gutierrez was the CEO of CleanFund Commercial PACE Capital, Inc., a leading provider of Commercial CPACE financing.  Prior to CleanFund, Mr. Gutierrez was a senior rating analyst at DBRS responsible for clean energy and energy efficiency financing, including PACE and Energy Savings Performance Contracts.  Prior to DBRS, Mr. Gutierrez was a senior banker with Citigroup’s asset-backed securities (ABS) group focused on originating, structuring and closing a wide variety of ABS asset classes.  Mr. Gutierrez received his bachelor’s degree and MBA with a concentration in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business.
