John Horstman

John Horstman is a director with Benefit Street Partners and is based in our Houston office, where he focuses on illiquid energy investments. Prior to joining BSP in 2015, Mr. Horstman was a vice president at Oak Hill Advisors, where he worked on illiquid debt investments. Previously, he was at NGP Capital Resources Company, where he also focused on illiquid debt investments, primarily in the energy sector. Mr. Horstman began his career as an analyst in Wachovia Securities’ (now Wells Fargo Securities) energy & power investment banking group. Mr. Horstman received a Bachelor of Arts from Rice University.
