Jeff Hazlett

Director

Jeff Hazlett is a director with Benefit Street Partners, based in our New York office.  Prior to joining BSP in 2021, Mr. Hazlett was a Director at StepStone Group, leading the corporate finance function and served as a key member of the leadership team that took the company public in 2020.  Prior to that, Mr. Hazlett was Director of Portfolio Performance at GPB Capital.  Before that, he was a Senior Vice President at Fortress Investment Group, where he held various leadership positions in finance, treasury, strategy and investor relations.  Previously, Mr. Hazlett also worked as a financial analyst at both Silver Point Capital and IBM.  Mr. Hazlett received both his MBA in Finance and a BS in Accounting from Purdue University.
